4^th Sunday of Easter 11^th May: Focus: Can we hear Christ’s voice speaking to us today? Or are we like those who, recognizing God’s intention to gather the whole world into his fold, were filled with jealousy & deaf to the Good News? We may have moments where we can hear, & moments where distractions deafen us to our shepherd’s voice. Let us pray for new hearts & open ears to follow Christ.

Thanks also for your contributions amounting to €300 for the upkeep of Christian Shrines in the Holy Land.

Cloonacool Book Launch. The official opening of the new car park at Cloonacool Community Centre, on May 10 at 8.30pm, will be followed by a book launch organised by the newly formed Cloonacool Heritage Group. The book is a collection of the folklore pieces contributed by local children to the National Folklore Schools Collection in 1938. The launch will take the form of an introductory reflection by Fr. Vincent Sherlock & will be followed by a set of short performances featuring readings from the new book. Everyone is welcome to this event which promises an evening remembrance & celebration. 

Achonry National School were selected as part of the Swinford Tesco Community fund. Every time you shop in Tesco Swinford you get blue tokens, pop them into the tube for Achonry N.S. we are one of three causes in store for the next 12 weeks. The more blue tokens we have at the end of 12 weeks the bigger share of the funds for Achonry National School. 

'Live Life' National Youth Retreat at Knock Shrine. On May 8^th students from all over the country will gather in Knock Shrine to celebrate the life of Donal Walsh & to reflect on his message - to 'Live Life!'
