6th Sunday of Lent 13th April: Focus: Because Christ humbeled himself, God greatly exalted him. – Luke’s Gospel emphasizes the need for disciples of Christ to follow in his footsteps, as Jesus tells the Apostles that he is among them as the one who serves. Like the servant of the Lord who is spoken of in the reading from the prophet Isaiah, Christ does not refuse his calling. He willingly submits to suffering for our sake. Following Christ’s example, it is through humble service to one another that we will be exalted.

“The Family that Prays together stays together”
Trócaire is the Irish language word for “compassion”. Since it was founded by the Irish Catholic Bishops in 1973, Trócaire has put the compassion of the Irish people into action. For over 50 years, we’ve brought about lasting change & transformed the lives of millions across continents. This incredible impact is made possible by the generosity of the Irish people, who support our work through annual initiatives like the Trócaire Box Appeal & by volunteering their time to create a positive difference in the world. Last year Trócaire brought support & relief to 1.58 million people living in poverty, conflict & injustice. You can help, please take a Trócaire box (available at the door) & you can hand in your contribution at any of the Easter Ceremonies. Thank you.
