ACHONRY FARMERS MARKET & THREE HILLS CAFÉ

To maintain the success of both the Three Hills Café & Achonry Farmers Market we would ask households to commit to visit both amenities at least once a month. These amenities offer ideal opportunities for people to get together & are instrumental in creating a dynamic & cohesive Community for us all to live in. Café is open Saturday & Sunday 10am-2pm, with Market on Saturday 10am-1pm. Laudato Si' Week, "Seeds of Hope," calls us all to be those seeds of hope in our lives and in our world, rooted in faith and love. This week invites us to come together as a community to contemplate and nurture seeds of hope for our "suffering planet" (LD 2). Laudato Si’ Week reminds us of the urgent need to care more deeply for our common home and the need for personal and cultural transformation in the midst of ecological crisis.

The Living Well Programme is coming to Tubbercurry FRC in person starting Thursday 23rd May 10.30am-1.00pm. Living Well supports adults (18 years & over) living with chronic long term health conditions. The Living Well Programme will help you to develop self-management skills & confidence to live well with your health condition/s. Achonry Reek Challenge: The Diocese Youth Commission is hosting the Achonry Reek Challenge “ARC” (Croagh Patrick Pilgrimage) on Sunday June 9th at 3pm. Please assemble at Murrisk car park for 2.30pm. All young people 18 + are welcome to attend, under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. Essential items to bring, water, light snacks, sun screen, warm clothes, hat, stick, & sturdy walking boots or shoes. Free event, refreshments served afterwards. For registration, please contact Stephen at youthministry@achonrydiocese.org

Achonry/Mullinabreena Parish DEFIBRILLATORS: This is an Appeal for Donations please for the purchase of 2 additional defibrillators (1 to be located in the Castleoye area & 1 in the Rinbane area) & for the upkeep & maintenance of 5 defibrillators currently in our parish. Recently a new cabinet was purchased for the defibrillator located in the Chaffpool area which cost €595. Replacement batteries which are required after 1 use & a spare 1 needs to be available at each defibrillator are approximately €150 each.

PS: Fundraising Tractor & Honda run for the upkeep of our parish defibrillators will take place on Sunday 29th Sept 2024 - details to follow later but in the meantime be sure to "save the date".

Bunninadden Community Bowls: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4pm (except Christmas week). New members welcome, age 16 upwards, tuition given. Tea/coffee & biscuits at half time. Nice relaxed atmosphere & a good chance to socialise.

Anam Cara: the organisation that supports bereaved parents will meet Tuesday 28th May at 7:15pm in the T. F Royal Hotel. This event is free & open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not. We now also offer an online support service too. Please contact us on info@anamcara.ie or 085 2888 888 for any queries.
