5th Sunday in Ordinary Time 5th Feb: Focus: Your light must shine before others. – In both the Old & New Testaments, the secret to knowing the love of God is revealed: Share & love as God loves. God wants everyone to know the peace & joy we experience because he loves us & lights our way. He didn’t give us his love to keep; we must share it with others. The mystery is, the more we share his love & light, the more we know how loved we are.

A little bit about us for your information: Breakthrough Cancer Research is an Irish medical research charity focused on cancer.

Based on the Western Road in Cork & fund life-saving cancer research all around the country & work to significantly impact the number of children & adults who can survive this disease.

We are particularly focused on improving outcomes for those cancers which are poorly served by current treatment options.

Our focus is on cancers with the lowest survival rates that are currently difficult to treat (poorer prognosis cancers).

Currently we are targeting seven cancers: Brain, Liver, Oesophageal, Lung, Ovarian, Pancreatic & Stomach cancer which are responsible for almost half of all cancer deaths in Ireland. We know research is the only effective way of preventing future deaths from cancer – it is the only proven way to make a difference.
