3rd Sunday of Advent 11th Dec: Focus: Make your hearts firm because the coming of the Lord is at hand. – On Gaudete Sunday we rejoice with all the earth in anticipation & preparation for Jesus’ birth & coming of his kingdom. We, like John the Baptist, are blessed & included in the kingdom of heaven, not because of what we do but what Jesus does for us.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Aidan McGarrigle who has died in Canada, (husband of Maura nee Kennedy, formerly of Tubbertelly).

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace

The Diocesan Pastoral Leadership Team, together with Bishop Dempsey, requested that each parish put in place a single Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) for each parish in the diocese & that these be in place by Feb 5th, 2023.

A PPC is a leadership group, works together with the Parish Priest in identifying & addressing the pastoral needs of the parish. Its purpose is to help people in the parish to notice God’s word addressed to them & then how best to respond to that word. It is about enriching the faith lives of the people of the parish & not primarily about the bricks & mortar issues.

Prayer for the Beatification of Venerable Patrick Peyton

Dear Jesus, Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary. His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth. We beg you, therefore, to hasten the day of his beatification, so that Your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that the family that prays together stays together, will imitate him in his devotion to Your Mother & ours, & will be inspired by His holy life to draw ever closer to You with childlike confidence & love. Amen.

Open Wide the Doors of Your Home to Christ

Inspired by our founder, Venerable Patrick Peyton, the Try Prayer! It Works! Focuses on Father Peyton’s message: "The family that prays together stays together."

“A world at prayer is a world at peace”

“The Family that Prays together stays together”
