NW Simon Community Dip & Donate Challenge from 18th – 21st June, to help raise vital funds to sustain the Early Intervention & Homeless Prevention Service. The first 50 participants who sign up will be posted out a free Dip & Donate t shirt.

North Connaught College Tubbercurry are hosting its first ever Virtual Open Evening over three evenings beginning Monday 24th May where teachers give information about their different courses, & our facilities & support systems are also outlined.

Galilee Spirituality Centre Events, May & June

  1. Herb & Flower Growing for Healthy Living. With Richard Kennedy. June 9th & 16th, 7.30pm. Cost €5. Booking info@galilee.ie

This series was interrupted in March last year – so we finally hope to be able to hold the second two evenings! It will be relaxed, fun & practical – with time for planting & growing. Richard Kennedy is a gardening expert & owner of Courtdale Horticulture, & a Christian lay minister. He will combine these roles to lead us in a journey of discovery in the world of gardening & spirituality.

The public celebration of Mass

Clarification concerning the easing of restrictions for public worship.  

Attendance

- social distancing guidelines are adhered to

- not more than 50 persons.

- specified entrance/exit route

- arrangements for distribution of Holy Communion

- strictly no movement of people during Service

Funerals

There is an increased risk of transmission of the virus where families and communities come together following the death of a loved one. Therefore, numbers at funeral services (& weddings) is capped at 50 regardless of size of premises

Notwithstanding the increase in numbers permitted, funerals are still considered private family events & all notices in newspapers or online should be clear about this. \Funeral services should continue to be live-streamed to help reduce numbers attending. 

Attendance at wakes in private homes & at funeral homes remains unchanged ie immediate family only & people should be discouraged from queuing to pay respects. 

Baptisms: The numbers attending a Baptism is still restricted to six, (Baby, Parents, God-parents & Priest).  

Singing: As with previous reopening for religious services, congregational singing & choir singing is not permitted. 

Solo singing with accompanist is permitted subject to compliance with detailed guidance contained in HSE Covid-19 Guidance for Religious Services 

Outdoor worship: Is not permitted in line with Government restrictions on organised outdoor gatherings.  

Use of religious premises

For any other purposes/parochial activities/community meetings etc. is not permitted in line with Government restrictions on organised indoor gatherings.
