1st Sunday of Advent 1st Dec: Focus: Advent is a time to prepare for the Lord. – In this season of Advent, we remember our place in salvation history. We remember that we, who again & again break the covenant established with God, are offered salvation through that same God who came as a baby to live, suffer, die & rise so that we may live forever with him.

Christmas Ceili in St Nathy’s Hall Thursday 19th Dec. from 8.30-11:30pm. Music by Laighne Ceili Band.  Admission €10. Refreshments served. This is a fundraiser for our Annual Christmas Party. Everyone welcome.

Blessing for Expectant Mothers: On Saturday Dec 7th, a blessing ceremony for all parents who are expecting a baby, will take place at Knock Shrine at 12 noon. It will include a short prayer for protection & safe delivery with an individual blessing for all mothers-to-be who are present. All welcome.

St Nathy’s Ladies: Christmas Tractor & Vintage Run on Sunday 8th Dec. in Bunninadden. Registration 11am with the Run at 12. A mini tractor run at 11.30am for the younger drivers. A Christmas themed run with lots of prizes, including a prize for "Pimp my Tractor" & a visit from a very special someone. Please support.

Banada Tourlestrane Housing Association (BTHA): Supply meals-on-wheels to elderly, the sick, those just returned home from hospital, or others who through circumstances are not able to prepare meals for themselves. The service is daily & can be availed of by calling BTHA office 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday on 071 9181562. Meals are freshly home cooked & consist of a dinner & desert.

The Priory Institute, offers an online retreat based on the 'O Antiphons' of Advent which were composed in the 6th or 7th century to accompany the Magnicat Evening Prayer for the last seven days of Advent. More recently they have been used as Gospel acclamation verses in the celebration of Mass. A team of presenters will guide participants through a series of reflections on these great 'O Antiphons' during the second part of Advent from 17th to 23rd Dec. This retreat is offered entirely online with one reflection per day beginning with an introduction on 16th December & ending on Christmas Day, comprising ten reflections in all.

Drummartin Indoor Country Market: (9km from Tubbercurry on Ballina Rd beside Joe Dan’s Pub) from 10.30am – 12.30pm on Saturday. Come on down to the market for lots of local produce - beef, lamb, herbs & veg, bread & eggs - as well as crafty stuff. Stock up on dried goods without any plastic packaging. Take a seat in the cafe & enjoy freshly ground coffee & cake.

Altar Society: Could you spare an hour or two? The Mullinabreena Church Altar Society are looking for volunteers from the parish to help with the upkeep of their Parish Church. Bereavement Support Group. Life after a bereavement can feel empty & lonely. This Support Group meets at the Family Centre, Knock every Wednesday at 11am. Anyone is welcome to drop in any week. Further info from Monica Morley on 094-9375320.
