HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Congratulations to Bridget McCarrick, Cloonbaniff, who celebrated her 95th birthday during the week. We wish Bridget continued health & happiness.

Recent Collections: Many thanks for your contributions to the Emigrant Collection amounting to €670, Holy Places €160, and Trocaire €2042 (€323 of this amount was collected in Achonry National School during Lent). Thanks for your continued support to all these very worthy causes.

AbbVie employee cycles for charity. Local girl, Claire Rooney, will be a participant in an upcoming cycle from Sligo to Cork to raise funds for North West Hospice. This event is organised by AbbVie & each participant has a target to reach to help contribute to the total fund. Claire is organising a fundraising night of music & cabaret in the Mountain Inn, Coolaney on Friday 24th May. More info on the line-up of talent will appear in the coming weeks.

The BIG HELLO held in Carrowmore School on Sat 4th was a huge success. Huge privilege recording the memories of times past in the community. Thanks to those who donated their delph, baked for the occasion & to all who helped in so many ways to make the day possible. Great to see the community coming together & the doors of Carrowmore School open again for such a day with the added bonus of a very special guest, Sam Maguire. Thanks to Coolaney Mullinabreena GAA Club for bringing him along. Looking forward to having more days like this.   

Picnic Area: The final work has taken place on the picnic area in Lavagh car park. It looks really well now.

The walkway up Knock na Shee is our next project & the Council have just started work on the parking area.

We are just over two years in operation & are always looking for new members to join us. It’s a community group & all our volunteers are doing their best for this area. Huge praise goes to each & every one of them for the time & effort given to each project.

Marie Keating Foundation: Annual Camino trip Sept 7th - 14th. This a journey of a lifetime as we walk the  La Vía de la Plata route to the tomb of St. James in Santiago De Compostela.
