Pope Francis has chosen Ireland for the World Meeting of Families 2018

Thank you, very sincerely, for your generous response to national collections for the World Meeting of Families 2018. Pope Francis personally chose Dublin, to host the World Meeting of Families from 22-26 August 2018.  Planning for this great national and international celebration of faith is at an advanced stage. A dedicated office and support team has been established and they are working hard to bring to life the different elements of the WMOF2018 which include (i) A National Opening in each diocese; (ii) A Pastoral Congress from 22-24 August; (iii) the Festival of Families on 25 August; &, (iv) the Closing Mass on Sunday 26 August. The World Meeting of Families promises to be an occasion that will reflect on the faith experience of families from many parts of the world as well as on the challenges & celebrations which characterise the ups & downs of day-to-day family life. Hosting this national & international event requires an enormous amount of planning & funding.  In this regard the third national collection will be held in this parish in the near future.
