22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time 3rd September: Focus: We are to take up our cross each day & follow Jesus Christ. – Today’s Gospel emphasizes what is required to follow Christ. We must set aside our selfish desires & take up our cross each day to help build up the kingdom of God. This involves sacrifice. Rather than conforming to what is popular in our present age, we must strive to do what is good & pleasing to the Lord each day.

RUBY JUBILEE: Congratulations & best wishes to Bernadette Connolly, Carrowkeel, & Larry Cunningham, Ballymoe. They celebrated the Ruby Jubilee (40th Anniversary) of their marriage recently with Mass in Achonry followed by a celebration in the Yeat’s County.   

We wish them many more years of health & happiness.

Knock Pilgrimage - Mass in Honour of the Holy Face. Sat 16th Sept. St.Therese Holy Face Prayer Group in conjunction with Human Life International (Irl) Annual Mass of Atonement & Reparation. Ceremonies commence at 2.30pm with Eucharistic Adoration in Blessed Sacrament Chapel then assemble outside Chapel at 3.30pm for Procession to Parish Church, Holy Face Devotions & Holy Mass at 4.30pm. Blood Donation Clinic in St Brigid's Hall, Tubbercurry, Thurs 7th September from 4.30 to 8.00pm. Blood is in short supply & everyone who can should consider donating. It is a wonderful act of caring for others; a genuine gift of life to a person in desperate need. Someone will live because you give. Within three weeks of donation you can be assured your blood will have assisted in saving someone’s life. No greater gift is possible.

Digital Skills for citizens is a basic internet computer class run for people with no or a limited knowledge of the internet.
