19th Sunday in Ordinary Time 13th August: Focus: Jesus is always there for us. – Sometimes, in the midst of life’s storms, we might feel that Jesus has abandoned us. But Jesus walks with us every step along the way. During stormy times, it’s important to turn to Jesus because he will give us the grace, guidance & strength to endure & make our way out of the storm.

 

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Anne McSherry (nee McSharry) died in Surrey, (sister of Terry McSharry, Carrowkeel), Tommy Hunt, Ballyfahy, Bunninadden, (father of Marguerite McGuire, Mullinabreena South).

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

Trocaire Special Collection: Sincere thanks for your contribution of €1300. This will be used to help the millions that are starving in East-Africa.

 

HOLY DAY MASS TIMES: From 15th August onwards the Vigil Mass will continue in Achonry at the usual time of 8pm, however, the Holy Day morning Mass in Mullinabreena will be at the new time of 10am.

 

Parish Pilgrimage to Lough Derg: On Monday 11th September. If you are interested in going on this One-Day Pilgrimage please put your name & contact number on the form at the church door.

World Meeting of Families: As part of the preparations for the World Meeting of Families in Dublin in August 2018 the National launch of it will take place during the Annual Novena in Knock Basilica at the 3pm Mass on Monday, 21st August 2017. Families throughout the country are very welcome & encouraged to attend, if possible, & it is hoped that many people from the parishes of our diocese can attend. Twenty six families, one from each diocese, will participate in a special way during the 3pm Mass on 21st August representing families all across the country. Please consider attending. All are most welcome.

Wildflower Explosion' Flowerarranging: In Corsallagh: Nature summer workshops for Children (8-12) Monday, 14th to Friday, 18th August 11am-2pm. Monday: get to know the Animals on our smallhold, Tuesday: get to know the many different plants - food tasting day/Biodiversity. Wednesday:Create your own little garden (flower arranging, weaving a fence). Thursday: local artist Sylvia will introduce the children to different techniques, drawing, printing cards & a T-Shirt. Friday 9pm-11pm local Bat-woman Erin will introduce the children to the Mystery of Bats & with the help of a Bat-scanner identify our local bats. For more info contact Martina 0872403005

Sligo Leader Partnership Co on behalf of the Digital Skills for Citizens program. Digital Skills for citizens is a basic internet computer class run for people with no or a limited knowledge of the internet. It is a free 10 hour course which takes place over 5 two hourly sessions in centres across Co. Sligo. It is aimed at helping these people to develop their basic internet browsing skills.
