The Transfiguration of the Lord 6th August: Focus: This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him. – “The word of the Lord” is something we hear in church, perhaps without giving it much thought. Peter & Daniel both remind us that the words of Jesus we hear in Scripture are none other than the words of the beloved Son of the Ancient One, who is the Most High over all the earth. We would do well to pay close attention to these words.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Anne McSherry (nee McSharry) died in Surrey, England, (sister of Terry McSharry, Carrowkeel). Funeral arrangements later.

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
