The Transfiguration of the Lord 6^th August: Focus: This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him. – “The word of the Lord” is something we hear in church, perhaps without giving it much thought. Peter & Daniel both remind us that the words of Jesus we hear in Scripture are none other than the words of the beloved Son of the Ancient One, who is the Most High over all the earth. We would do well to pay close attention to these words.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Anne McSherry (nee McSharry) died in Surrey, England, (sister of Terry McSharry, Carrowkeel). Funeral arrangements later.

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

HOLY DAY MASS TIMES: From 15^th August onwards the Vigil Mass will continue in Achonry at the usual time of 8pm, however, the Holy Day morning Mass in Mullinabreena will be at the new time of 10am.

Fr Peyton Centre: William A Thomas Mariologist will give a presentation on Our Lady of Fatima on Saturday 12^th August at 3pm in the Fr. Peyton Centre, Attymass. The Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima as well as relics of Saint Pope John Paul II will be available. All are welcome to attend.

Carrowmore School: Rambling House / Social on Sat 12^th Aug from 2pm. After last year’s very successful reunion the Friends of Carrowmore School invites the community to come along again for tea / coffee / light refreshments, music, song & stories.
