Christmas Day 25th December: Focus: Today, we celebrate the good news of our salvation, the birth of Jesus Christ as one of us, a human being. Fod has always shown his love for us in numerous ways; through the beauty of creation and the love of our families and friends. Today, he shows that love in a very special way; in the birth of his beloved Son into our world – God’s gift to all of us!

The Offertory Boxes for 2017 are available at the church door. If you wish to have an offertory envelope box or haven’t received one, please ask Fr. Peter or any member of the Pastoral Council. Thanks to all who have contributed throughout the year.

Tubbercurry St. Vincent de Paul Conference would like to thank you for the collection for our annual appeal. The total collected was; €907.70, (this includes €172 from Christmas/Ecumenical Carol Service in Achonry Church. This was a very generous amount. Thank you very much.

Social Dancing; In St. Nathy’s Hall for beginners, Mondays at 8:30

South Sligo AC hosting a 5K fun run on St. Stephen's Day in aid of SHOUT. Registration in St. Brigid's hall Tubbercurry at 11:30am, all donations go to SHOUT. The run commences at midday. Walkers, joggers & runners welcome to this family friendly event. Christmas jumpers encouraged!!! Tea & refreshments afterwards in St. Brigid's hall. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Senior Help Line, Ireland’s only national listening service for older people will be open every day over Christmas & the New Year from 10am to 10pm. We are here to take your call if you are on your own, feeling isolated, worried or would like someone to talk to. Christmas can be a sad time for many people, & in the midst of apparent universal gaiety, some of us can feel very alone. Senior Help Line volunteers are trained older people who understand the ups & downs of life, & are happy to listen, to keep company & to support.
