3^rd Sunday of Lent 28^th February: Focus: Every moment of our lives can be holy, as God is ever at work in our lives. – Too many people think the experience Moses had was a once-in-a-lifetime event. The truth is that every moment is a holy moment, as God is always at work in our lives. The challenge is to continue to grow in our faith & love for the Lord, so that we may recognize the many & varied ways he is present with us. If we do this, we co-operate with the Lord’s grace & help build up his kingdom on earth.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Peter Smythe, Hull & Doobeg, Bunninadden, (nephew-in-law of Brendan Connolly), Grainne Golden,Sligo, (niece of Des Golden, Achonry). 

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

5K Fun Run/Walk: Moylough N.S Parents Association are holding a 5k Fun Run/Walk on Sunday 13^th March at 1pm.  €5 per adult, €3 per child, or €15 per family.  Register from 12.30.

The John Hannon Annual Céilí  in Higgins' Lounge, Culfadda on Fri 18^th March 10pm-1am with refreshments served. Adm €10.

Offertory Boxes: 250 Offertory boxes were distributed for 2015, from this, 171 offertory envelopes were returned on a regular basis, 17 were returned on a few occasions, 8 were returned once, & 54 made no contribution towards the upkeep of the church at all. Sincere thanks to all those who contribute to the offertory collection which goes towards the running costs of the parish. Full details of income & expenses will be published in the next few weeks.

Carrowmore National School Reunion: Saturday 13^th Aug 2016 (revised date) will see the doors open in Carrowmore School if only for a short while. A past pupil's reunion is planned for the picturesque stone School House that lies at the foot of Knocknashee in South Sligo. Carrowmore School was opened in 1834 & before it closed in 1973 was the oldest National School building in the country still in operation. Since that time, the school has remained idle apart form a refurbishment by Mullinabreena Parish a number of years ago when it also became a miniature school museum & Visitors Centre for a short period but now it is vacant again. The reunion experience will involve a tour of the old school, meeting the teachers, viewing exhibits, a browse through the old roll books & of course, the customary school lunch! Later in the evening there will be a further get-together at the Mountain Inn, in the company of some of the more musical pupils who attended the school over the years. Those who would like to attend can get in contact right away to state their interest. Then, whether you are home or away you can plan your return to Carrowmore at your leisure.

NOTE: If any past pupils have old photographs from their time in the school, the organizing committee would like to get copies for the purpose of exhibition & possible publication.
