15th Sunday in Ordinary Time 10th July: Focus: Love of God & love of neighbour are essential in the life of a believer. – Both the Old & New Testaments emphasize the centrality of loving God & our neighbour. In the first reading, we hear Moses stressing the importance of this in one of the final speeches of his life. In the Gospel, Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan expands the understanding of “neighbour” to include those we might consider strangers or even enemies, & “love” modelled on his example of selflessness & sacrifice.

All Masses for the next week are in Achonry Church.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Lily McCarrick nee Wims, (London & Achonry, aunt of Raymond Wims, Castlecawley).
