15^th Sunday in Ordinary Time 10^th July: Focus: Love of God & love of neighbour are essential in the life of a believer. – Both the Old & New Testaments emphasize the centrality of loving God & our neighbour. In the first reading, we hear Moses stressing the importance of this in one of the final speeches of his life. In the Gospel, Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan expands the understanding of “neighbour” to include those we might consider strangers or even enemies, & “love” modelled on his example of selflessness & sacrifice. 

All Masses for the next week are in Achonry Church.

Reek Sunday 2022: The annual Reek Sunday pilgrimage takes place on Sunday July 31^st at Croagh Patrick. Confessions on the summit 7:30am - 2:00pm.  Mass hourly from 8:00am - 2.00pm

Mullinabreena Memorial Run in memory of Vinny Healy will be held on 24^th July 2022. Starting from the Mullinabreena Community Hub. All tractors, honda 50’s, big bikes & cars are welcome. Registration from 11am for motorbikes & cars & they are leaving at 12noon. Registration for tractors at 12 noon & they are leaving at 1pm. This is a fundraiser for S.H.O.U.T & towards the upkeep of the defibrillators in the parish. Refreshment served before & after the event. Raffle also in the day. PLEASE COME OUT & SUPPORT.
