14th Sunday in Ordinary Time 3rd July: Focus: Our encounter with Christ transforms us for the sake of the world. The Gospel tells of Jesus sending out the first disciples with a mission of healing & peace – a task that now belongs to the baptised. As we gather today in worship, may our encounter with Christ change our hearts & strengthen us to be instruments of peace & mercy in our world.

All Masses for the next week are in Achonry Church.

Welcome to the Table: A day of celebration for young people (18-30) in the diocese of Achonry. A time to celebrate faith & life with other young people in a welcoming & joyful atmosphere. An opportunity to hear how one sports star – Andy Moran – combines sport, work & faith. You will have time to respond to what he has to say. Mass celebrated by Bishop Paul Dempsey. Achonry Farmers Market & Café at the Hub: We would like to encourage people to support both our Community Café & our Local Farmers Market. These amenities offer ideal opportunities for people to get together & are instrumental in creating a dynamic & cohesive Community for us all to live in. Café is open Saturday & Sunday 10am-2pm, with Market on Saturday 10am-1pm. 

 

The Fr. Patrick Peyton Centre are looking for volunteers to help in the recently opened information hub in Knock village close to the Shrine called ‘Mission of Father Patrick Peyton CSC’. If you would like to help please call the Centre 096-45374.

In preparation for the Diocesan Youth Gathering which will take place on 17th July, there will be a choir practice for the Mass to be celebrated that evening. The practice will be from 8-10pm in the Oratory, St Nathy’s College on this Monday, 4th July. Singers & musicians from across the diocese welcome.

Covid 19: The number of deaths worldwide is now at 6,357,810 (official figure), experts say the true figure is now over 17 million. Republic of Ireland deaths 7,467. That’s 30 deaths in Ireland last week. The number of positive cases in Ireland is 1,601,614 so 1 in every 3 has now tested positive.

NEW ROOF FOR MULLINABREENA CHURCH

The work on the roof is now in progress.
