6^th Sunday of Easter 22^nd May: Focus: As our Easter journey continues, may the promise of the Holy Spirit give us hope & strength. – Our Gospel brings us back to the Last Supper. Knowing his disciples will need encouragement for events that lie afead, Jesus grants them the gift of peace & promise of the Spirit. We also need those gifts as we strive to live the Gospel life & be faithful to Christ.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

Would those who are interested in taking part in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament please come along to a short meeting in the Parochial House on Thursday 26^th May at 8pm. The Day & the time for Adoration can be discussed at the meeting. (We hope to have the Adoration alternating between Achonry & Mullinabreena on a monthly basis after the re-roofing project is complete, however, if this is not possible we will try to continue in one Church). If you can’t attend the meeting but would like to go on the Rota please contact Pauline on 0878284019.

Achonry Farmers Market & Café at the Hub: We would like to encourage people to support both our Community Café & our Local Farmers Market. These amenities offer ideal opportunities for people to get together & are instrumental in creating a dynamic & cohesive Community for us all to live in. Café is open Saturday & Sunday 10am-2pm, with Market on Saturday 10am-1pm.

Dance for Ukraine: Fundraiser dance will be held in Radisson Blu Hotel, Sligo on Sunday June 12^th in aid of 'Rapid Response Ukraine', a Humanitarian Organisation based in Sligo. Johnny Brady & band on stage 9 to 11pm with Michael Jennings as support. Doors open 7pm. Please contribute to this worthy cause by donating a ticket or attending the dance. Covid 19: The number of deaths worldwide is now at 6,299,362 (official figure), experts say the true figure is now over 16 million. Republic of Ireland deaths 7,244. That’s 41 deaths in Ireland last week. The number of positive cases in Ireland is 1,552,835 so 1 in every 3.1 has now tested positive.

Weekly Social Walking Group

Our Social walking group meet each week at the FRC at 11.45am. The groups goes for a sociable walk followed by a warm cuppa. New walkers always welcome.

Loving God, We pray for the people of Ukraine,

For all those suffering or afraid, that you will be close to them and protect them. We pray for world leaders, for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices.

We pray for the world; that in this moment of crisis,

we may reach out in solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need.
