2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time 16th January: Focus: God intends to make each one of us a new creation in Jesus Christ. – Isaiah encourages the people, giving them hope for the future & reminding them of God’s love for them. We can take encouragement from these same words, especially since Christ has come for us. The Lord longs to breathe his divine life into each of us, making us new & whole.

NEW ROOF FOR MULLINABREENA CHURCH

The contract is now signed & work will begin in March for the roof costing €214,500. This is a big undertaking, but necessary. If you are in a position to help, please know that your support is welcome. Banada Abbey Past Pupils Reunion of L.C. Classes 1970 &71. The Reunion in Tubbercurry on Friday 5th August 2022. Looking forward to meeting up with colleagues from those years. Latest Guidelines Re. Covid Restrictions: "For clarity following recent updated Covid guidance, Religious Services in Places of Worship are unchanged regarding capacity, with all other protective measures in place to ensure the safety of the congregation. Likewise, there are no changes to attendance at wedding services or funeral services however any gatherings after these services must comply with hospitality rules. With regard to wakes in private homes, general advice on household mixing is 3 other households (4 in total) applies." We will wait to see how the situation develops over the coming days to work out how Christmas will be managed. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be facilitated in the approach up to Christmas. We will use the same format as at Easter & last Christmas to facilitate penitents safely.  

COVID-19 Support Line for Older People: ALONE manage a national support line & additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19. Professional staff are available to answer queries & give advice & reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.

News from the Hub: The Café at the Hub is now open on Saturdays & Sundays from 10am to 2pm. It is intended to run it with volunteers. Contact Noel 087 2502471 if you would like to offer your services.
