31st Sunday in Ordinary Time 4th November: Focus: Jesus, our perfect example, calls us to live a life driven by love for God & our neighbour. – God’s command for us is to love; first to love God with all our heart, soul, mind & strength, & then to love our neighbour as ourselves. Jesus calls these the two greatest commandments. These are not easy commands. They require that we put God & others above our own wants & desires.
SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Patrick Connolly, England, (brother of Sarah Smythe, & nephew of Brendan Connolly, Carrowkeel).

WEEKEND MASSES: From 1st January 2019 there will be one Saturday vigil Mass at 8pm (as usual), but there will only be one Sunday morning Mass, this will alternate each month for the foreseeable future at 10am. Many areas throughout the country have lost Masses, had churches closed or parishes amalgamated, none of this was due, however, to lack of vocations or shortage of priests, but was caused by lack of a congregation.

THE PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION WAS A HUGE SUCCESS ........The group were delighted with how the weekend went & the enjoyment people got out of it was incredible & something money could not buy..... compliments have been flowing in & the feedback has been so positive... it was an amazing community event & that's what we were trying to achieve as people don't get the opportunity to meet up with neighbours like they used to... PRIZE WINNERS...Sean Henry, Leo Coleman, Eileen Toolan, Kellie Gallagher, Johnny Kane, Michael Moore & Geraldine O’Dowd, We won't have a total amount for a week or so as money is still coming in & it will take a few weeks to return all photos to their rightful owners.......
