Corpus Christi 18th June: Focus: Through simple signs of bread & wine, the profound gift of Jesus is made present to us. – The sign of unity in our faith life is the Eucharist. The living bread we receive at Communion sustains us & reminds us that Jesus is with us always. Let our humble belief in the Eucharist set a holy example to be followed.

Community Games Athletics County Finals in Sligo I.T on 24th & 25th June. Tracksuits for County Final Athletic will be given out on 20th June in St Nathy's Hall at 6.30 pm & a deposit of €20 is required. The very best of luck to all taking part in the Finals from the Community Games Committee.

One Million Rosaries & One Million Visits To The Blessed Sacrament For Protection Of Life & Save The 8th Amendment. Pledge forms are left at church door. The AGM of the Phoenix Players in St. Brigid’s Hall, on Wed 21st June at 8.30pm. New members are very welcome.

€1,270 collected the day of the exhibition. Thank you. All money raised will go towards flowers, boxes, compost, paint, no dumping signs & anything else needed for the tidy up going on around our parish. Next meeting Tues 4th July 9.30pm in Parochial House.

 

A relic of St Teresa of Calcutta will be in the cathedral 22-24 June. Mass celebrated on Fri 23rd at 8pm by Fr Tommy Johnston in the cathedral. All are welcome to venerate the relic at this mass.

Becoming a Permanent Deacon. The Diocese of Achonry invites men with an interest in becoming a Permanent Deacon for service in our diocese to please make contact with Fr. It is Church Music Summer School time again.  The Summer School 2017 from Wed 5th to Sat 8th July.  The guest director this year is Órla Barry, Ballinteer. She conducted Summer School 2011 when Sing the Mass was launched. She is accompanied by our Irish composers: Bernard Sexton, Ephrem Feeley & Liam Lawton. The theme for the Summer School is: Joy For The World, preparing for the World Meeting of Families 2018.
