Prayer is not the last resort, but the best resort. Talk, & you say what you already know; listen & you may learn something new.

5th Sunday of Easter 14th May: Focus: We are called to the difficult work of discipleship, to be both hearers & doers of the word. – In & through our baptism, we were given new life in Christ & became members of the Body of Christ – the Church. As such, each of us is called to holiness, & to use our unique gifts & talents to further the work & mission of the Church. We are also called to use these gifts to help build up God’s kingdom on earth, & lead lives which give glory to God.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Kathleen O’Flaherty, Dublin, (sister of Christina Murphy, Castleoye, & the late Walter Brennan, Cloonacool), Peter Wims, London & Achonry, (brother of Nathy Wims), Mass later in Achonry.

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
