Fourth Sunday of Advent 18th December: Focus: God is with us, & we are called to live in his presence & take that joy out into the world. - God promised to send a Saviour to the world, & Jesus came among us. In return, we were called to serve Christ & proclaim him to all. This is easy to overlook as we are caught up in our own pride, or focus on worldly matters. As we look to the Nativity of the Lord, let us shake off distractions & strive to serve Jesus & share him with others.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Mick Duffy, Achonry & Chaffpool (our oldest parishioner in his 99th year, born on 18th November 1918), Martin Higgins, Tullyhugh, Kathleen Grifferty, Barnacogue & Swinford, (mother of Martina Maxwell, Carniara).

May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

Baptism: We welcome into the Christian Family through the sacrament of Baptism: Shea John Logan, Strandhill Rd., Sligo

We are here to take your call if you are on your own, feeling isolated, worried or would like someone to talk to. Christmas can be a sad time for many people, & in the midst of apparent universal gaiety, some of us can feel very alone. Senior Help Line volunteers are trained older people who understand the ups & downs of life, & are happy to listen, to keep company & to support. So let us put the companionship into Christmas this year. LoCall 1850 440 444, no call costs more than 30 cents. All calls completely confidential.

May you & yours have a blessed & peaceful Christmas
