32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time 6th November: Focus: Believers in Jesus are given the promise of eternal life in heaven. - Our hope is in the Lord, who made heaven & earth, & who remains faithful to those who believe. For those who believe in Jesus & persevere in their faith with the help of God’s grace, the trials of the world will eventually pass away. As Jesus’ disciples, we will one day come to share eternal life in heaven.

Baptism: We welcome into the Christian Family through the sacrament of Baptism: Alicia Virginia Fallon & Ruairí Patrick Fallon, (twins) Rinbane.

Novena to conclude the Year of Mercy - 4th – 13th Nov.

As we come to the conclusion of the Year of Mercy we offer this Novena of Mercy for a great out-pouring of God’s Mercy on us all. On the Church in our parish, diocese, & country. We also remember people throughout the world affected so grievously by war and conflict at the present time and who are crying out for mercy.

The Annual General Meeting of Achonry National School Parents Association on Wednesday 9th Nov at 8pm in St Nathy's Hall. School Principal Ms Cora Kivlehan will address the meeting. All parents are invited & are strongly encourage to attend.  It is important our Parents Association continues to grow & provide on-going support for all our Children & our school.

Abuse is a serious matter & there are 5 main types of abuse.

Physical: Hitting, kicking, shaking, or hurting a person physically

Emotional: Making a child feel unloved, stupid or scared

Sexual: Anyone using a child to satisfy their own sexual needs or those of others. It may be touching or exposing private parts or images.

Neglect: Depriving a child of food, warmth, affection, or love.

Bullying: Repeated physical abuse, verbal of psychological aggression directed by an individual or a group against others or attempts to exclude a person from a group.

Sligo Leader Partnership Co. is currently delivering a programme for people who would like to learn how to use the internet but have no previous skills or experience with computers. Venues: Gurteen, Tubbercurry, Collooney & Sligo town. The course comprises of four two hour classes at a total cost of €20. Computers & training manuals provided.
