27th Sunday in Ordinary Time 2nd October: Focus: Daily prayer is essential in order to be open to the workings of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us the grace, gifts and strength needed to put our faith into practice. We in turn must cooperate with the Holy Spirit moving within us so that our lives may bear good fruit for God. Let us set aside time to pray each day in order to be attentive and responsive to the Spirit’s promptings in our everyday lives.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: “Do This in Memory” Meeting for parent/s in parochial house on Tuesday 27th September at 8pm. Enrolment Ceremony in Mullinabreena Church on Sunday 2nd October at 11:30 Mass for the children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion next year.

Peyton, known as the Rosary Priest, a Film entitled “A MOST UNUSUAL MAN, in Knock Shrine, St. John’s Rest & Care centre, Thursday 13th October, 8:00pm, in which features the Hollywood stars in a memorable evening commemorating his involvement with them in promoting the Holy Rosary throughout the world. Introducing Fr. Peyton, Fr. Steve Gibson, Spiritual Director, Fr. Peyton Memorial Centre, with Kieran Lundy.

The Tubbercurry Order of Malta have now finished the church gate collections in all the local churches. A total of €1755.00 was collected. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last two months, it is very much appreciated. Thank you, Tubbercurry Unit of the Order of Malta.

Tubbercurry FRC: FRC Inter-generational Celebration on Tues 4th October at 11.30am. The FRC, the local Active Retirement Group & Transition Year students from St Attracta’s Secondary School, will partake in a celebration of song & dance. This celebration is hoped to highlight the positive relationship between young & old in our community. There will be tales of old, traditional & modern song & dance with some special presentations from both groups showcasing their talents. Tea, coffee & home baking will be provided & all are welcome to attend & celebrate the coming together of different generations within our community. FRC Parent & Toddler Group will be hosting a fundraising event on Tuesday morning November 1st, Trick or Treat for Temple Street, more details in the coming weeks.

North West Hospice Memorial Walk: For World Palliative Care week North West Hospice are holding a Memorial Walk in Doorly Park. People are encouraged to come & walk in memory of their loved ones, friends, colleagues & family members. The walk is suitable for all the family & will start from the Riverside Hotel on Sunday 9th October at 2pm. Registration from 12.30pm. All are welcome. Donations on the day to North West Hospice.
